Privacy policy
Effective October 12, 2026. WhatStaysOn (whatstayson.com) is operated by Carefree Charters LLC. The short version: the site itself collects nothing about you. The planner runs in your browser, and we use no cookies, analytics, ads or trackers.
The planner stays in your browser
What you choose in the planner — appliances, hours, settings, names of things you add — is processed by JavaScript in your browser. It isn’t sent to us or anyone else.
To make the “Copy link to this plan” button work, your planner choices are written into the page address after the “#” symbol (for example #a=fridge.wifi&h=12): the appliances you switched on, outage length and start time, any numbers you changed, and settings such as whether your CPAP runs without its humidifier. Browsers don’t send that part of an address to websites, so it stays on your device unless you share the link — but anyone you share it with can see those choices. Appliances you add yourself are included only as numbers; their names are never put in the link.
We don’t use cookies or browser storage. When you close the page, your choices are gone unless you saved the link.
No analytics, ads or third-party content
Every page, script, font and image is served from whatstayson.com. We load nothing from other companies, so no third party learns that you visited. If we ever add analytics, we’ll update this policy first and describe exactly what’s measured.
Our hosting provider
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical request data (such as IP address, the page requested and the time) to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks. That processing is covered by Cloudflare’s own privacy policy. We don’t add tracking on top of it.
Links to other sites
Station pages link to manufacturers’ websites. Those are ordinary links — we have no affiliate links today. Once you’re on another site, its privacy policy applies. If we add affiliate links in future, we’ll label them and update this policy, because the merchant may then record that you came from us.
If you email [email protected], we receive your message and email address in our mailbox (hosted by Zoho) and use them only to reply and, for corrections, to fix the page concerned. We don’t add you to any list, and we don’t sell or share personal information.
Children
The site isn’t directed at children and doesn’t knowingly collect information from anyone.
Changes
If our practices change, we’ll update this page and its effective date before the change takes effect. Questions: [email protected].
